Our Tufting Basics workshop is a 3.5 hour introduction workshop into the wonderful world of tufting.

The art of tufting provides an almost instant sense of satisfaction, much like the quick rush of your favourite coffee first thing in the morning. Feel the thrill of seeing your creations come to life rapidly and beautifully.

  • An introduction to a cut-pile electric tufting gun and a demonstration to teach you the art of tufting.

  • A choice of over 90 colours of yarn which can be selected on the day. (Note all of our Acrylic yarns are included. If would want to work with wool please make sure to add that to your booking.

  • Time to tuft your masterpiece!

  • Trimming and shaving your rug for the finishing touches.

You’ll be guided by our experienced and patient tutors and leave with your very own handmade 40x40cm rug* at the end of your workshop!

Don’t forget! You will need to send us your design at least 48 hours before the start of your workshop. See our guidelines for information and inspiration.

    • When you send us your artwork, we will make sure it's tufting friendly.

    • If we think it requires any major changes we'll let you know.

    • If you require or want us to assist with your design please make sure to add that onto the booking.

  • For Tufting Basics - 3.5 hours should be enough time to create your first tufted piece.

    Should you however take longer than the allotted 3.5 hours to finish your piece, we charge a flat rate of £20/hour.

  • Please double check the time and date of your workshop before making a payment!

    If you need to cancel your booking please read our refund policy.

  • A 15% group discount can be applied if you book for a group of 6 people.

    Please contact us to give you a coupon code to use for those bookings.

  • This is quite simple really.

    • Each booking for one person is to make one rug. (if you book for 3 people... 3 rugs! You get the point!)

    • We'll provide you with all the equipment and materials* to make your rug.

    • *Just note that if you want to use something extra fancy like our New Zealand or Icelandic wool in your rug we'll have an additional charge for that.

    • The sizes of the rugs are and will be as stated in each of the tufting workshops descriptions, but these can vary slightly depending on your design and shape. But we'll make sure to be fair!
