Woven or knitted?

Woven and knitted fabrics are like the two best friends who are totally different but somehow get along great.

Woven fabric is the one who's got everything in order. It’s made by crisscrossing two sets of threads—the warp and the weft—in a neat, grid-like pattern. This makes it strong, sturdy, and about as stretchy as your average brick. Woven fabrics are perfect for when you need to keep things in line—think dress shirts, trousers, or anything else that needs to look sharp and structured. Denim, canvas, satin? Yep, all woven, all business.

Knitted fabric, on the other hand, is the laid-back buddy who's all about comfort. Instead of straight lines and grids, knitted fabric is made by looping yarn into a series of cozy, interconnected stitches. This gives it a natural stretchiness and softness that’s perfect for when you just want to chill. T-shirts, sweaters, leggings—they’re all knitted, and they’re all about moving with you, not against you. It’s the fabric equivalent of a big, comfy hug. Jersey and rib knits? Yeah, those are the life of the knit party.

So, to sum it up: woven fabrics are your go-to for structure and stability, while knitted fabrics are all about flexibility and comfort. Whether you're dressing to impress or to just lounge around, these two have got you covered.
